Relaxed Performances
Landmark Musicals is committed to making theatre more accessible. To that end, every Landmark production features a Relaxed Performance.
Relaxed Performances are intended to be sensitive to, and accepting of, audience members who may benefit from a gentler theatre environment. These performances are open to all; however, they are intentionally modified to accommodate patrons with sensory and vestibular sensitivities, anxiety, dementia, autism spectrum disorders, learning differences, or challenges attending the theater. The performances might also feel more welcoming for families with children who may need the ability to get up and move around or take a break in the lobby.
Please note: while the environment is more welcoming to those with caregiver needs, please check the show content to determine what is best for your family.
A breakdown of all visual and audio effects as an insert within the program and on our website for The Sound of Music. We are thrilled to welcome ASL interpreters who sign from the Curtain Speech through the final bow.
To help ease audience members into the world of these characters, part of our curtain speech will feature some of our actors and backstage crew to discuss how makeup, costumes, and sets build the world of the show.
Each production will have a Relaxed Performance at a Sunday matinee. If productions have two weekends, the Relaxed Performance will be the first matinee. If productions have three weekends, the Relaxed Performance will be the second matinee. The specific performance will be identified on our website and listed through our online ticket sales.
