Landmark Musicals has returned! Through the struggles of COVID and its aftermath, Landmark Musicals has made a strong recovery with two very successful productions: White Christmas and Disney’s Newsies! Both shows were huge crowd pleasers and Landmark very happily welcomed back its audiences at Rodey Theatre. Adding to the success, we also welcomed back many dedicated Landmark performers from prior productions, as well as many new performers. Specifically, the tremendous young performers in Newsies! that took the production over the top with their incredible dancing and high energy. We look forward to continuing to bring Landmark audiences high quality, musical theater experiences. Which brings us to… our next two shows! This holiday season join us for the perennial favorite, Music Man. A great show for the entire family. And in the spring of 2024, join us under the sea for Little Mermaid. Welcome, Lou Becker!
Landmark Musicals is proud to announce that Lou Becker will be joining us as an Associate Producer. Lou brings an extensive professional resume, and most importantly, a strong dedication to community performing arts here in Albuquerque. Lou first joined Landmark in its production of White Christmas as a performer and choreographer of “Blue Skies”. Many of us here at Landmark grew up with Lou Becker, performing in Albuquerque Civic Light Opera shows and ballets. After too many years away sharpening his skills and gaining invaluable experience, we are honored that he has chosen to bring his many talents to the Landmark family. Welcome Lou Becker!
Spotlight On: Dahl Delu
Landmark Musicals is extremely pleased to continue our collaboration with Emmy-Award winning artist, Dahl Delu. Dahl has been our resident scenic production designer since 2013. Over the past ten years, Dahl’s incredibly beautiful sets have enhanced Landmark’s productions. His painted backdrops are works of art. His dedication, tireless attention to detail, and amazing talent, not to mention untold hours and hours of back-breaking work painting scenery, make Landmark very grateful that he is a part of our family.
